OBLADI, recognized as a beacon of innovation and elegance in the fashion industry, possesses a rich legacy rooted in its connection to Yohji Yamamoto.
Following the conclusion of his collaboration with Yamamoto, Doi Yasushi embarked on a new venture, establishing his own brand, OBLADI, where he now assumes the role of Art Director.
Over the past decade, Yasushi has assembled a distinguished team of designers, who have continued to build upon the brand’s pioneering foundations, propelling it toward new heights of creativity and sophistication.

In 2018, the seeds of D'énigme were sown with the introduction of enigmatic label for women that hinted at the brand’s future potential. By 2023, the vision matured into OBLADI, fully realized and captivating. OBLADI embodies the essence of its namesake, inspired by the spirit of The Beatles’ song “Obladi - Oblada.” The brand’s philosophy  "Life goes on" encourages individuals to embrace their boldness and express themselves freely through fashion, knowing that in the grand scheme, it all comes together.
OBLADI is more than a brand, it is a manifestation of passion, dedication, and meticulous craftsmanship. Every piece reflects a shared commitment to creating something uniquely compelling. This fervor is evident in every detail, from the designs to the brand’s identity.
The logo of OBLADI is a poignant symbol of heritage and resilience - a pair of butterflies facing each other. This emblem is inspired by a rare Japanese family crest with a storied past.
The crest once belonged to a royal family who sought refuge in a fishing village after a historic conflict, changing their name to ensure their safety.
Most historical records of their existence were lost, but a crucial document was preserved by the elder brother of our Art Director, revealing their lineage as descendants of the old king.
